Our mission is simple: To give you the wedding cake of your dreams. The cake without the
added cost, too much left over cake, or headaches of having to return all the cake supplies.
We simply spend some time with you, do some cake tasting, and then allow you & your fiancé
to design your own cake. Yes, the cake you've been dreaming of. We pull out the dummies,
plates, pillars, mirrored dummies, whatever else that we have, and proceed to design and
build your wedding cake. You have total input in the design of your wedding cake. There
are so many books and now that we have the internet (ho-hum) that you can find pictures
of cakes that everyone knows someone who’s had one "just like that". We challenge you
to design your own ! We do not copy or reproduce pictures of other cakes. That's not what
we're all about. We believe that you deserve to have your own "one of a kind " cake,
like the love between the two of you, the love that you have never felt for another.
It’s amazing how creative you can be when you using actual components rather than
just looking at a photo or drawing. You are limited only by your imagination and
our capability to follow through, and to this date, we have always been able to
accommodate. We've drawn brides and grooms to tears at the first sight of their
cake on their wedding day. Even though you are completely involved with
the designing of your cake, after we set it up, adding the flowers, waterfalls and
fish, and whatever, it takes on a totally different look, We've been told by
other caterers and pastry chefs, "absolutely gorgeous!” Coming from our
peers, this is of the highest praise we can get.
The day of your wedding, we spend, on the average, 4 hours to set up the cake table. It is
very important that every thing is perfect, right down to the placement of the last rose bud.
We hope that the time we spent with you has given us enough insight into the 2
of you that we will be able to add a few special components that apply to you,
and only the two of you. What looks like cake on the table is actually
frosted dummies, frosted with real frosting, with the same design that the real
cakes are. As for the real cakes, there are really only 2 cakes on the table that
have any significance and are of the highest importance, the one you share with
each other that day and the one you keep for your 1st anniversary. Everyone
looks at the cake and admires it, but do they really know what part is real
and what is not? So let’s make them dummies! Why dummies? They can sit on
the table all night and look gorgeous. What are served to your guests are half
sheet cakes, 4" high, just as one of the cakes taken off the table would be. We leave
a business card with the staff, so that just in case, one never knows, when some
little boy, will try to catch one of the little goldfish, in the process, bumps
something else, which bumps something else, can you see where I'm going with this?
We then wait. We come back between 11:00 & midnight and take it all down. We wrap
up your anniversary cake and any other cake, if there is any left, and it can be taken
along with the gifts, if you so wish.
Our pricing is simple. We charge a one-time non-refundable fee to hold the date, which is
also used toward setup, tear down, and any rental, if you so wish to call it that. This charge
is $225.00. There is then the charge for the actual cake. Currently it is $1.75/slice, any flavor,
any filling. This is for the edible cake only! We do not have the required licensed to make
and sell cheese cake. The 3rd charge is mileage. This will change depending on the current
gas price which seems to be going in the wrong direction. So after all is said and done the
majority of our cakes are still far less than than our competitors.
